BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 461

DECLARING FRIDAY, 27 APRIL 2018, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU

WHEREAS, on Friday, 27 April 2018, the City of Lapu-Lapu marks the celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan;

WHEREAS, the Battle of Mactan is among the significant events in Philippine history and serves as testimony to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Filipinos; and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lapu-Lapu be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Friday, 27 April 2018, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Lapu-Lapu.
