1--4pAJ 10177 MALAC~.AN G Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 463 DECLARING THE FIRST WEEK OF SEPTEMBER OF EVERY YEAR AS COMMUNITY CHEST WEEK AND AUTHORIZING THE COMMUNITY CHEST FOUNDATION, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL AND FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR WHEREAS, the Community Chst Foundation, Inc., a non. stock, non.profit, voluntary, charitable, welfare, and civic non.governmental oranltion founded on September 5, 1949, has since continuously and effectiely carried out ad noble mission of social servicei WHEREAS, with its dedicated commitment to the service of humanity, the Community Chest Foundation, Inc., recognizes its responsibility t9 improv and expand its services to our less fortunate fellowmen in more ways than one; WHEREAS, the ommunity Chest is cognizant of the needfor a stronger pbl!c awareness about its more than fourdecades of existence in community etvices for information dissemination and otreach programs; WHEREAS, in ordex to carry out its noble objectives, the Foundation needs the financial and moral support of thepublic; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the first week of September of every year as Community Chest Wek and authorize the Community ChestFoundation, Inc. (CCFI). to conduct a national educational and fund campaign for a period of one year, effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation.
