BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 463

DECLARING 02 FEBRUARY 2018 TO 02 FEBRUARY 2019 AS THE PERIOD OF THE CELEBRATION OF THE “BICENTENNIAL YEAR OF ILOCOS NORTE” #

WHEREAS, Ilocos Norte was created as a province on 02 February 1818 during the term of Governor-General Mariano Fernandez de Folgueras;

WHEREAS, the Province of Ilocos Norte marks the period of the celebration of the “Bicentennial Year of Ilocos Norte” on 02 February 2018 to 02 February 2019; and

WHEREAS, this commemoration aims to create more awareness on the preservation of the rich cultural heritage, practices and traditions of Ilocos Norte;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare 02 February 2018 to 02 February 2019 as the period of the celebration of the “Bicentennial Year of Ilocos Norte.”
