AUTHORIZING THE ELKE CEREBRAL PALSY PROJECT, Inc., TO CONDUCT A WATIONAL EDUCATIONAL A.D FUND CAMPAIGN DURING Tie PERIOD FROM JULY 1 TO AUGUST 31, 1966.

WHEREAS, sume 1,400 children are bora yearly in the Hlippines ufflicted with corc¢bral palay, nm condition

WHEREAS, cerebrnl-psalsied chilcren, given propor Bherapy and treatment, aay be improved to such a degree B68 to relieve their parents and the community in sonoral of the burden of attending to their needs and becond Weluable essets to the nation; and

WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for am intensive mampaicn to educate the people on viorious aszects of eersbrol palsy with a view to mininizins, if not totally @lininating, its deleterious effects, and to raise funds for the operation and expansion of present facilitics of the Elks Cerebral Falsy clinics and the purchase of adequate micdicine and specislized equipment for the mreatnent of these afflicted with it;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FERDINAND £. MARCOS, President of the Philipyines, by virtue of the sutherity vested in ue

fund canpsign during the period from July 1 to August 41, m966. I coll upon 311 citizens and residents of the Philippines, irrespective of rece and creed, to suport the humanitarian canpsign by givine senerously of their sans to alleviate the niserable plight of these unfortunate individuals afflicted with cerebral poelsy. I authorize Rovermment officials and snployees, including selisol Muthoricies and teachers, to sccent, for the Hlks Gerobral Palsy Project, Inc., fund-raising responsibilities and to Rive it active support end Llendership in their respective jonmunitics,.
