loZq1 ,Ltp.v MALACANANG MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO; 471 DECLARING THE'MONTH OF HEALH MONTH OCTOBER OF EVERY YEAR AS SCHOOL WHEREAS, the state recognizes its constitutional duty t9 provide for the health, education, and social welfare of the youth ,to enable them to deal physically, morally, intellectually, and socially in a wholesome and normal manner, and thus transfor~ them i'nto heathy, intelligent, upright and useful citizens and potential community leaders; WHEREAS, the State shall protct and promote the right to health of the people and instill health consciousness amqng them; WHEREAS, good health enables actualize his/her full potential learning and productivity; thefor individual to more effective WHEREAS, the Integrated School Health and Nutrition Program contributes substantially to the attainment of good health and nutrition among the school populace through health and nutrition services and education; NOW, TEREFORE , I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the month of October of every year as the School Health Month under the avspices of the School Health and Nutrition Center, Department of Education, Culture andSports.
