AMENDING PROCLAMATLON NO. 479 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN CERTAIN AREAS OF REGIONS ILI, Iv, V AND ALL CLTLES AND MUNICIPALITIES OF 'THE NATLONAL CAPITAL REG LON

WHEREAS, in a certification dated November 10, 1989, the Administrator of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) states that pursuant to late reports caning fram Batangas, the City of Lipa was also heavily affected by typhoon "Saling" last October 11, 1989;

WHEREAS, as certified atse by the DSWD City Social Welfare Officer and the Chainnan, City Disaster Coordinating Council, Lipa City, typhoon "Salling" inflicted damage to real estate, agricultural crops and personal properties in said City;

WHEREAS, a state of public calamity exists in the aforesaid City arising from the effects of typhoon "Saliny;

NOW, ‘THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON €. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 479 declaring the existence of a state of public calamity in certain areas of Regions III, IV, V and ali cities and municipalities of the National Capital Region to inelude therein the City of Lipa in Batangas province. ~

IN WITNESS WHERBUF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
