DEC : BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES : PROCLAMATION NO. 49

DECLARING FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 24, 1989, AS “DUMAGUETE CITY DAY.”

WHEREAS, Friday, November 24, 1989, marks the 41st charter anniversary of Dumaguete City; and

WHEREAS, the residents of Dumaguete City desire to celebrate with fitting ceremonies this milestone in their city’s history;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare Friday, November 24, 1989, as “Dumaguete City Day". The day, however, shall be a regular working and school day.

IN WITNESS WHEREGF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

November, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and eighty-nine.
