PROCLAMATION NO. 491

CLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF NORTH COTABATO ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY THE ARMED CONFLICT IN THE AREA

WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense and Chairman the National Coordinating Council (NDCC) recommends’ the claration of a state of calamity in the province of North tabato, which was adversely affected by the armed conflict the area;

WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for the declaration of e state of public calamity in said area to normalize the ituation and hasten the rehabilitation efforts of the yncerned agencies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the filippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do reby declare that a state of public calamity exists in the rovince of North Cotabato.

-» All departments and other government agencies concerned res hereby directed to implement and execute relief and shabilitation work in accordance with existing operational ans, directives and orders issued in connection with jlamities.
