MALACANANManila NFIJ /377 BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 497 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM NOVEMBER 6 TO 12, 1994, AS "CIVIL ENGINEERING WEEK" WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute cf Civil Engineers,Inc. (PICE), is an association of Civil Engineers, both in the government and private sector, duly accredited by the Professional Regulation Commission; WHEREAS, the Philippine Institute of CivilInc. (PICE) will hold its National Convention Election on November 10 to 12, 1994, in Manila; Engineers, and Annual WHEREAS, there is a need to focus public attention on the importance of the Civil Engineering profession and its role in nation-building; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS,- President of the Ph_ilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from November 6 to 12, 1994, as "Civil Engineering Week" under the auspices of the Philip- pine Institut of Civil Engineers, Inc. (PICE). I call upon all civil engineers, educator~ and students to give the observance of the week their full support.
