BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 500

RENAMING THE CATICLAN AIRPORT TO GODOFREDO P. RAMOS AIRPORT

WHEREAS, the “Father of Aklan,” Godofredo P. Ramos, a former Akian Congressman and Governor and Justice of the Court of Appeals, authored Republic Act No. 1414, officially separating Aklan from Capiz; and

WHEREAS, the renaming of Caticlan Airport to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport is in recognition of his dedication to public service and unwavering commitment to the development of the Province of Aklan.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby rename the Caticlan Airport to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport.
