J.1 pAt MALACANAN G Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 508 AUTHORIZING THE BOY SCOUTS OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN. FOR A PERIOD OF ONE -(1) YEAR WHEREAS, under Proclamation No. 217, series of 1993, the Boy Scouts of the Philippines was authorized to conduct a national fund campaign during the period from 1 September 1993 to June 1994; WHEREAS, the noble and laudable purposes of the Boy Sco')ts of the Philippines deserve the full support of ~very Filipino and resident in the country, and every government office and the private sector; and WHEREAS, the Boy Scouts of the' Philippines needsadditional time to enable it to raise more funds to attain its laudable goals; "' ') NOW, THEREFOR, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Boy Scouts of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation. I call upon .all citizens and residents of thePhilippines, regardless of race, creed or nationality, to support actively and give generously of their time andresources to the cause of the BSP.
