PROCLAMATION NO, 512

AUTHORIZING THE PHILIPPINE BAND OF MERCY, INC, TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL EDUCATIONAL , MEMBERSHIP AND FUND CAMPAIGN FROM FEBRUARY 1, 1990 TO JANUARY 31, 1991

. WHEREAS, the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc,, CPBM), a charitable non-government organization has, since 1347, been providing services and assistance to indigent physically disabled individuals in the country;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc,, in seeking to provide more relevant service to the growing disabled population and their expanding social, medical, sand economic rahabilitation needs, is pursuing an aggressive Plan of Action and Program Strategies;

WHEREAS, the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc, in order to . achieve fully its humanitarian and welfare objectives needs 9: SS “the financial and moral support of the populace; + .

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C, AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc, to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign for the period from February 1, 1930 to January 31, 1991,

I call upon all citizens and residents of the Philippines, regardless of race or creed,and corporations, institutions, and other enterprises, public or private, to Give generously and lend their full support to the educational, membership and fund campaign of the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc.

For this purpose , all donations, bequests, and gifts received by the Philippine Band of Mercy, Inc, for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be free from all form of taxes and shall be deductibele in full from the income of the donor for purposes of computing his income tax liability, subject to the pertinent provisions of Section 94 (a) (3) and (b) (2) and 29 Ch) (2) (C) Cid of the National Internal Revenue Code, as amended,
