PROCLAMATION NO. 519

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM FEBRUARY 18 TO 24, 1990 AS “NATIONAL “MASS MEDIA WEEK” .

WHEREAS, the Press Foundation of Asia, an association which represents various publishing houses and national press institutes in the Asia region, will hold its Fourth . One Asia Assembly in Manila on February 18 to 22, 1990 under the theme “People, Media and Power - Moving in the 21st Century";

WHEREAS, the assembly will be attended by both foreign and local publishers, editors and mass media people;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper to dedicate the ___ period to focus. agent ion on _thevital. role of. media moving into the 21st century;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C, AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law,

• do hereby declare the period from February 18 to 24 as “National Mass Media Week" under the auspices of the One Asia Assembly,
