DECLARING TEE SOUTH POINT ISLAND £ND ADJOINING SREAS OF BARANGAY

LAPAZ, WUNICIPALITY GF NUEVA VENENCIA, SUE-EROVINCE OF

GUIMARAS, PROVINCE OF ILOILO, AS TAKLONG ISLAND NATIONAL . MARINE RESERVE

Upon re@@mmendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and pursuant to the authority vested in me by law, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, Presidert of the Fhilippines, do

} hereby set aside as Taklong Island National Marine Reserve, for the benefit and enjoyment of the Filipino -people under the administration ‘of the Department of Environment and Natural Resources, subject to private rights, if any there be, the South point Island and adcjoining areas of Barangay Lapas, Muni- cipality of Nueva Valencia, Sub-province of Guimaras, Province of Iloilo, as shown in the Protected Areas and Wildlife Bureau Map, with the following description: .

Beginning from point 1, which. is -N 8 deg. E and 810 meters from BBM # 11 Nueva Valencia, Sub-province

The manage- ment and development of the area shall be undertaken to uplift the social and ¢conomic welfare of the people thereat.
