BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO._55

DECLARING MONDAY, JUNE 11, 2001, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE. PROVINCE OF RIZAL

WHEREAS, the Province of Rizal was formally established on June 11, 1901;

WHEREAS, Monday, June 11, 2001, marks the 100" Foundation Day Anniver- sary of the Province of Rizal;

WHEREAS, the people of the Province of Rizal should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with fitting ceremonies and programs that will recall their glorious past and rekindle in them deep nationalistic sentiments necessary for the task of nation- building; :

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of | the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Monday, June 11, 2001, as a special day in the Province of Rizal.

IN WITNESS WHEREOPF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
