BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES C289 PROCLAMATION NO. 559

FURTHER EXTENDING THE NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN PERIOD OF THE UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC., UP TO MARCH 31, 1991.

WHEREAS , the United Way Philippines, Inc., formerly * Community Chests and Councils of the Philip- pines, Inc., was authorized under Proclamation No. 395, dated March 31, 1989, to conduct a national fund cam- paign during the period from March 31, 1989 to March Si, 1990; .

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., needs additional’ time to raise more funds for its laudable objectives;,

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby extend the national fund campaign period of the United Way Philippines, Inc., up to March 31, 1991.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand” and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
