MALACANANG RESIDENCE OF THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES MANILA BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION No. 56 DECLARING THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1962, AS A SPECIAL PUBLIC HOLIDAY WHEREAS, paying homage to the dead on All Saints' Day is one of our cherished traditions; and WHEREAS, in keeping with that tradition, the people should be given full opportunity to observe the day with all its religious fervor; Nmv, THEREFORE, I, Diosdado Macapagal, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by section 30 of the Revised Administrative Code, do hereby declare Thursday, November 1, 1962, as a special public holiday.
