BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES $239 PROCLAMATION NO. 560

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MAY 7 TO 13, 1990, AS MANUFACTURING ENGINEERING WEEK

WHEREAS,. the manufacturing engineering profession plays ofv key role in organizing the production facili- ties, “processes and equipment in order to manufacture the highest quality products consistently and efficiently;

WHEREAS, in pursuance of these objectives, the 1990 National Convention on Manufacturing Engineering will be held on May 10 and 11, 1990;

WHEREAS, there is a need to focus attention to the profession of manufacturing engineering as a key func- tion in planning for the industrialization of the Philippines;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from May 7 to 13, 1990, as Manufacturing Engineering Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
