BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 563

DECLARING SATURDAY, 27 APRIL 2013, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF LAPU-LAPU

WHEREAS, Saturday, 27 April 2013, marks the celebration of the Kadaugan sa Mactan, a cultural and historical event in the City of Lapu-Lapu:

WHEREAS, the Battle of Mactan is among the significant events in Philippine history and serves as testimony to the rich cultural and historical heritage of the Filipinos: and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Lapu- Lapu be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, |, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, do hereby declare Saturday, 27 April 2013, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Lapu-Lapu.
