DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM MARCH 16 TO 22, 1959, AS LIONS WEEK

WHEREAS, the Lions Organization (Lions International, District 301) has done much to make our communities better places to live in;

WHEREAS, the tenth anniversary of the founding of this organization in the Philippines falls on the third week of March 1959;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CARLOS P. GARCIA, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from March 16 to 22, 1959, as Lions Week.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 11th day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and fifty-nine, and of the Independence of the Philippines, the thirteenth.
