MALACANA~ MANIJ..A .l1f=- N I", BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 564 AUTHORITIES DECLARING APRIL 24 TO 28,1995, AS ASEAN ASSOCIATION (APAA) SPORTS WEEK PORT WHEREAS, the Philippines, as a bonafide member of ASEAN Port Authorities Association (APAA), is slated to host the APAA Technical Committee meeting and the 5th APAA Hi-Annual Sports Meet; WHEREAS, this Bi-Annual APAA Sports Competition is an occasion that will serve as an opportunity to further strengthen the bond of friendship and solidarity among ASEANcountries; WHEREAS, the hosting of the 5th APAA Sports Meet, which is expected to foster the ~ralue of sportsmanship and prol1K)te physical fitness, is in line with the government's sportsdevelopment program; . WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper to focus public attention on the role being played by APAA member countries towards development in global shipping; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare pril 24 to 28, 1995, as APAA Sports Week.
