• MALACANAN~ Manila ,l1f~ BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 566 DECLARING THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 1995, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN LAPU-APU CITY TO COMMEMORATE THE LAPU-LAPU CITY CHARTER DAY AND THE BATTLE OF MACTAN WHEREAS, both the anniversaries of the Lapu-Lapu City Charter Day and the Battle of Mactan fall on 27 April 1995; WHEREAS, the residents of Lapu-Lapu City desire tocelebrate, with fitting ceemonies, these events of historical importance to the City and the Nation as awhole; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Thursday, April 27, 1995, as a special day in Lapu-Lapu City.
