PROCLAMATION NO. 573

AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 501 DATED DECEMBER 21, 1939 WHICH RESERVED CERTAIN PARCELS OF LAND LOCATED IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO FOR RADIO STATION PURPOSES BY DECLARING THE LAND EMBRACED THEREIN AS DEPARTMENT OF TRANSPORTATION AND COMMUNICATION REGION I OFFICE SITE AND HOUSING SITE OPEN FOR DISPOSITION IN FAVOR OF QUALIFIED OCCUPANTS

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 501 dated December 21, 1939, which reserved certain parcels of land located in the City of Baguio for Radio Station purposes by declaring the land embraced therein as Department of Transportation and Communication (DOTC) Region I office site and housing site open for disposition in favor of qualified occupants, subject to private rights, if there be any, road right of way requirements, and to actual survey, which parcels of land are more particularly described as follows:

LOT 1

TELECOMMUNICATIONS OFFICE SITE DOTC — REGION I

A parcel of land situated in Res. Sec. “K”, City of Baguio. Bounded on the North along line 1-2 by Public land; on the East along lines 2-3-4- 5-6-7-8 by lot 2; on the South and Southwest along lines 8-9-10-11-12 by Paraan Street 5-6 meters wide (portion of Lot 2) on the Northeast along line 12-1 by lot 2. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan being N 88 deg 042’ W., 718.38 m. from BL No. 22, Baguio Townsite, thence:

Due East 39.80 m. to point 2; S. 21 deg 17’E., 7.30 m. to point 3; S. 15 deg 48’E., 5.51 m. to point 4; S. 18 deg 44’ E., 6.23 m. to point 5; S. 19 deg 26’ E., 1.80 m. to point 6; S. 23 deg 33’ E., 8.51 m. to point 7; S. 03 deg 09’ E., 9.11 m. to point 8;

LOT 2 HOUSING SITE

A parcel of land situated in Res. Sec. “K”, City of Baguio. Bounded on the North along line 3-1 by Public Land; along lines 1-2-3-4-5-6-7-8-9- 10-11-12 by Lot 1 (Telecommunications Office) along lines 12-13-14 by public land; on the East along lines 14-15-16 by Public land; on the South along lines 16-17-18-19 by public land; on the West along line 19-20 by public land. Beginning at a point marked “1” on plan being N. 88 deg 04’ W., 718.38 m. from BL No. 22, Baguio Townsite, thence;

an area of TEN THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED NINETY NINE (10,799) SQUARE METERS, more or less.

The parcel of land reserved herein for housing site purposes and declared open for disposition shall be disposed of under the provisions of Republic Act No. 730 in relation to the provisions of Commonwealth Act No. 141, otherwise known as the Public Land Act. The same shall be subject to private rights, if there be any, road right of way requirements, and to actual survey.
