PROCLAMATION NO.578 AMENDING PROCLAMATION NO. 412, DATED MAY 23, 1989

WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 412, dated May 23, 1989, decldrsd the month of June 1989S as Information —--- Technology Menth;

WHEREAS, there is a need to declare the month of June of evéry year as Information Technology Month to increase public awareness on the .vital role of ‘Infermation Technology in the pursuit of national deve- lcpment;:

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by vir tue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby amend Proclamation No. 412, dated May 23, 1989, by declaring the month of June of ever; year as “Information Technology Month" under the auspices of the Information Technology Coordinating Council and the National Computer Center, with the co- operation. of other organizations that are involved Information Technology development in the country.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my _ hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
