BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 579

DECLARING THURSDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2018, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGRAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS

NORTE

WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda, a World War II Heroine and the Founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines, was born on 20 September 1898 in Dingras, Ilocos Norte;

WHEREAS, on 20 September 2018, a Thursday, the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte, will mark the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda;

and

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingras be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, SALVADOR C. MEDIALDEA, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, RODRIGO ROA DUTERTE, do hereby declare Thursday, 20 September 2018, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte.
