BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 58

DECLARING TUESDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2022, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF DINGRAS, PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE

WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes-Escoda, a World-War II heroine and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines was born on 20 September 1898 in Dingras, Ilocos Norte;

WHEREAS, on 20 September 2022, Tuesday, the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte, will mark the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes-Escoda;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Municipality of Dingras be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies, subject to the public health measures of the national government;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, VICTOR D. RODRIGUEZ, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Tuesday, 20 September 2022, a special (non-working) day in the Municipality of Dingras, Province of Ilocos Norte.
