2ROCLAMATION NO. 594 PQOCLAIMING TRE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF ZAMBOANGA DEL NORTE.

vib ERRS according to the Secretary of National Defense, Chair- man of the National Disaster Coordinating Council, tne Province of Zamboanga dei Norte suvfered neavy damage and destruction to life, arivate properties, puDlic infrastructures and agricuiturai crops as 4 result of the continuous heavy rains, strong winds and flash floods during the second week of June 1990.

WHEREAS, there is urgent need for the deciaration of a state oF pubiic calamity in the said province to normaiize tne situation and . hasten the rehabilitation efforts of the concerned iine memoer-agenciés.

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Phijip- pines, by virtue of the powers vested in me dy jaw, do neredy Drociaim that a state of public calamity exists in the Province of Zamboanga cei Norte.

All departments and otner government agencies concerned are hersoyv directed <o implement and execute relief and renabilitation work in accordance with existing cperational plans and directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
