PROCLAMATION NO. 601

AMENDING PROCLAMATION 423, DATED JULY 12, 1957 WHICH ESTABLISHED THE FORT ANDRES BONIFACIO (FORMERLY FORT WILLIAM MCKINLEY) MILITARY RESERVATION, BY SEGREGATING CERTAIN PORTIONS OF THE LAND EMBRACED THEREIN SITUATED IN BARANGAY LOWER BICUTAN, TAGUIG, METRO MANILA AND RESERVING THE SAME FOR HOUSING SITE PURPOSES OF EMPLOYEES OF DEPARTMENT OF PUBLIC WORKS AND HIGHWAYS (DPWH) OPEN FOR DISPOSITION UNDER THE PROVISIONS OF RA 7279 KNOWN AS THE URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING ACT

Upon recommendation of the Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources, and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL ARROYO, President of the Republic of the Philippines, do hereby amend Proclamation 423, which established the Fort Andres Bonifacio Military Reservation by segregating certain portions of the embraced therein located Barangay Lower Bicutan, Municipality of Taguig, Metro Manila and reserving the same for housing site purposes of the employees of the Department of Public Works and Highways, open for disposition pursuant the provisions of the Urban Development and Housing Act (R.A. 7279), under the administration of the National Housing Authority, subject to private rights, if there

be any, and to final survey, which portions of land are more particularly described as follows:

TECHNICAL DESCRIPTIONS

A PARCEL OF LAND (LOT 1, being a portion of Lot 8057 MCadm 590-D, Taguig Cadasral Mapping), situated in Barangay Lower Bicutan, Municipality of Taguig, Metro Manila, Island of Luzon. Bounded on the South along line 1-2 by Road Lot 15, Psd-13-002579 (Gen. Santos); on the West along line 2-3 by Road Lot 37, Psd-13-002579 (MERALCO Right of Way); on the North along Line 3-4 by Road lot 42, Psd-13-002579; on the East along Line 4-5 by Road lot 42, Psd-13-002579, and along Lines 5-

6-7 by Road Lot 43, Psd-13-002578 and along Line 7-1 by Road Lot 16, Psd-13-002579.

The Secretary of Environment and Natural Resources is hereby authorized to issue a Special Patent covering the area herein reserved for housing purposes in favor of the National Housing Authority.

The National Housing Authority (NHA) shall reimburse the national government the value of the land after the final payment of the areas reserved for housing purposes by the qualified beneficiaries.

The portions of the area herein reserved that are being used or earmarked for public or quasi-public purposes shall be excluded from such disposition.

An Inter-Agency Committee (LIAC) shall be created pursuant to Memorandum Order No. 74, s. 2002 and other related issuances to implement post-proclamation activities.
