vaveted honor to host the GRECO-ROMAN and FREES OVE WRESTLING rhe IST ASIA-OCEANIA JUNTOR FREESTYLE saptember 17-19, 1995, and the 3rd ASTA= SSTYLE WRESTLING CUP from September 21-23, -ederation Internationale De Lutte Amateur a] Wrestling Committee and the nation of the Philippines;

WHEREAS, the lith ASTAN CHAMP TONSHTPS in the Philippines was designated by the FILA as the qualifying round for the Asian Wrestlers in the 1996 Summer Olympic Games in Atlanta, Georgia, U.S.A.;

WHEREAS, the hosting of the 11th ASTAN CHAMPIONSHIPS, the lst ASTA-OCEANIA JUNIOR FREESTYLE WRESTLING CUP, as well as the 3rd ASTAN-OCEANTA WRESTLING CUP, are opportune occasions to showcase the country's economic progress and —development and tourism destinations;

WHEREAS, ane is common knowledge that the success of these high caliber championships will be insured only by the support and cooperation of the private and public sector;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from June 27 to July 3, 1995 as the "ASTAN OLYMPTC WRESTLING CHAMPIONSHIPS WEEK" and@ direct the Organizing Committee ta act as the lead agency in planning, merketing, disseminating information and conducting the wrestling championships.
