PROCLAMATION NO. 61

DECLARING TUESDAY, JUNE 19, 2001, AS A SPECIAL DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF LAGUNA

WHEREAS, Tuesday, June 19, 2001, marks the 140". birth anniversary of Dr. Jose P. Rizal, our national hero;

WHEREAS, it is fitting and proper that the residents of Laguna, his birthplace, should be given full opportunity to celebrate the day with appropriate ceremonies in keeping with his ideals and teachings.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, GLORIA MACAPAGAL-ARROYO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me in Book I, Chapter 7, Section 27, of the Administrative Code of 1987, do hereby declare Tuesday, June 19, 2001, as a special day in the Province of Laguna.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, | have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
