\LACANA~ MAND..A 'ENT OF THE PHILIPPINES u If.- BY THE PRE ~TION NO. 613 PROCL/ , A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THECH WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED B"j'- DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF PROVINCE OF ROMBLON '\-'7'TI TROPICAL STORM "AURIN G" WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense and Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) recommends the declaration of ~ state of calamity in the Province of Romblon in View of the impact of tropical storm Auring which has severely affected the residents of the area; WHEREAS. there is an urgent need for the declaration of a state of calamity in the area in order that the province may make use of its calamity fund for the relief and other emergency requirements of the affected constituents; NOW THEREFORE, c I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Republic of the Philippines, by viI ue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare that a state of calamity exists in the province of Romblon. All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans. directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
