PROCLAMATION NO. 617

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JULY 24 TO 31, 1990, AS "ENTREPRENEURS WEEK" .

WHEREAS, the primary objective of the Entrepreneurs Society of the Philippines is the promotion of the concept of entrepreneurship for personal and national economic development;

WHEREAS, the Congress of the Philippines has legislated the pursuit of that development through the passage of the "Kalakalan 20" law;

WHEREAS, countryside and barangay business enterprises are vital to the Government's effort to spur rural economic development;

WHEREAS, the need to promote entrepreneurship must be called to the attention of our people;

NOW, THEREFORE, !, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from July 24 to 31, 1990, as "Entrepreneurs Week" under the auspices of the Entrepreneurs Society of the Philippines. °
