MALACANANG Manila ,tAfAl 1J'1/ BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 622 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE MUNI- CIPALITY OF RIZAL, OF NUEVA ECIJA, WHICH WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FIRE WHEREAS, the Secretary of Ndtional Defense as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) recom- mends the declaration of a state of calamity in the Muni- cipality of Rizal, Nueva Ecija, in view of the effects of fire which occurred on April 5, 1995; WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for the declaration of a state of calamity in the area in order that the province may make use of its calamity fund for the relief and other emergency requirements of the affected constituents; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me b)7 law, do hereby declare that a state of public calamity exists in the Municipal':ty of Rizal, Nueva Ecija. All departments and other government agencies concer"d are hereby directed to implement and execuLe relief and re- habilitation work in accordance with existing 'operational plans, directives and orders issued in connection withcalamities.
