• MALACANANG Manila BY THE PRESIDENT )F THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.627 DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM SEPTEMBER 3 TO 10 OF EVERY YEAR AS "LINGGO NG LAANG-KAWAL" (NATIONAL RESERVIST WEEK) WHEREAS, September 1 of every yea~ is declared as "Araw rig Laang-Kawal Pilipino" or Reservist Day to underscore the importance of military reservists throghout.the country and exhort them to rededicate themselves tQ the task of nation- building pursuant to Proclamation No. 1892, dated August 30, 1979- , WHEREAS, pursuant to Republic Act 7077, otherwise known the Citizen Armed Force Act or Armed Forces of thellippines Reservist Act of 1991, the State shall promote I develop public support to and awareness of the importantLe c->f the Citizen Armed' Force as protector of the people I the State; as Ph WHEREAS, certain activities planned to be conducted for his year are designed to enhance the peoples' awareness and ally public support for the reserve components of the Armed orces of the Philippines, which necessitates the declara- ion of a period within the month of Septemer of this year s a National Reservist Week in consonance with the above- ited national policies; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V.
