PROCLAMATION NO. 641

DECLARING MONDAY, 02 SEPTEMBER 2024, A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF BAGUIO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 6710 declared 01 September of each year as Baguio Charter Day and a special non-working holiday in the City of Baguio to commemorate the anniversary of the city;

WHEREAS, the City of Baguio will mark the celebration of its anniversary on 01 September 2024, which falls on a Sunday;

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Baguio to fully participate in the occasion, the Office of the Mayor requested that 02 September 2024, Monday, be declared as a special (non-working) day in lieu of 01 September 2024;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Baguio be given full opportunity to participate in the occasion and enjoy the celebration;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, LUCAS P. BERSAMIN, Executive Secretary, by authority of the President, FERDINAND R. MARCOS, JR., do hereby declare Monday, 02 September 2024, a special (non-working) day in the City of Baguio.
