MALACANA~ MANll..A wlJ ,9Qi BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.6 4 4 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A ST ATE OF CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF BAYAMBANG, PROVINCE OF PANGASINAN, WHICH WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FIRE WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense as Chairnlan of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) recommends the declaration of a state of calamity in the Municipality of Bayambang, Province of Pangasinan, in view of the effects of fire that occured on September 3, 1993; WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for the declaration f)f a state of calamity in the area in order that tile province may make use of its calamity fund for the relief and other emergency requirements of the affected constituents; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare that a state ofpublic calamity exists in the Municipality of Bayambang, Province of Pangasinan. All departments and other government agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance with existing operational plans, directives and orders issued in connection with calamities.
