DECLARING FRIDAY, 20 SEPTEMBER 2013, AS A SPECIAL (NON- WORKING) DAY IN THE PROVINCE OF ILOCOS NORTE
WHEREAS, Josefa Llanes Escoda was a World War II heroine and the founder of the Girl Scouts of the Philippines;
WHEREAS, the Province of Ilocos Norte marks the commemoration of the birth anniversary of Josefa Llanes Escoda on Friday, 20 September 2013;
WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the Province of llocos Norte be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.
NOW, THEREFORE, |, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JUR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO Ill, do hereby declare Friday, 20 September 2013, as a special (non-working) day in the Province of llocos Norte.
