,L1pJJ MALACANAN~ MANn.A BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLA..1vIATION NO. 667 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITY OF LUGAIT, PROVINCE OF MISAMIS ORIENTAL, WHICH WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FLASHFLOODS WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense .as Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCC) recommends the declaration of a state of calamity in the Mllnicipality of Lugait, Province of Misamis Oriental, dlle to adverse effects of flashfloods that occurred on September 10, 1995; WHEREAS, there is an urgent need for the declaration of a state of calamity iI1 the area in order that the province may make use of its calamity fund for the relief and other emergency requirements of the affected constituents; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, b~" virtue of the po';ers vested in me by law, do hereby declare that a state of public calamit}" exists in the Municipality of Lugait, Province of Misamis Oriental. All departments and other govemment agencies concerned are hereby rlirected to implement and execute relief and rehabilitation work in accordance '-.-ith existing operari,':)nal plans, directiv.s ar.d orders issued in conr;lection with c.."alamities.
