M?J Iq MALACANAN~ MANU-A BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 668 DECLARING A STATE OF PUBLIC CALAMITY IN THE MUNICIPALITIES OF BATA-A, RIZAL, QUEZON AND ARACELI, ALL OF THE PROVINCE OF PALAWAN, AND THE CITY OF COTABATO, WHICH WERE ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FLASHFLOODS WHEREAS, the Secretary of National Defense and Chairman of the National Disaster Coordinating Council (NDCCj recommends the declaration of a state of public calamity in the follo7ing areas: Bata:-aza, Rizal, Quezon and Araceli, all of the Province of Palawan, due to the adverse effects of flashfloods which occured on September 8, 1995; City of Cotabato, due to the adverse effects of f1ashf1oods which affected the area during the first week of September 1995; ,NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the po\'ers vested in me by la\v, do hereby declare that a state of public calamity exists in the Municipaiities of Bataraza, Rizal, Quezon and Araceli, all of the Province of Palawan, and the City of Cotabato, which wereadversel}! affected by flashfloods.
