DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM APRIL 6 TO 11, 1970, AS “CHEMICAL WEEK”

WHEREAS, Chemists play a vital role in production and preservation of food and other basic materials for our needs; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to arouse production consciousness and stimulate interest in chemical and allied industries among our people;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, ALEJANDRO MELCHOR, Acting Executive Secretary, by order of His Excellency, FERDINAND E. MARCOS, President of the Philippines, do hereby declare the period from April 6 to 11, 1970, as “Chemical Week” under the auspices of the organization and entities involved.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.

Done in the City of Manila, this 31st day of March, in the year of Our Lord, nineteen hundred and seventy.
