TO 9, MENT EMPLOYEES WEEK 1995, AS GOVERN- WHEREAS, efficient govel"-ilment administration depends greatly on the per.formance and dedication Qf government officials and employees; WHERF.AS, the Nationl Council of the PGEA has scheduled a, number of activities dul'ing its forthcoming 50th anniver-sary: 1) Symposium, 2) Awarding Qf plaques and certificates of merit to outstanding governmeht officials and employees for the year 1995, 3)Evalution of past achievements and future plans and projects of the PGEA in the area of public service in particular and in the entire nation in general, and 4) Daily appropriate programs in different governmentoffices; WHEREAS, it is but fitting ad proper to focus public attention on the role played by state workers in the social,economic, and political development. of the country; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of thePhilippines, by virtue of the powrs vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from December 3 to 9, 1995, as Government Employees Week under the auspices of the Philip- pine Government Emp)oyees Association and other governme~t employees organizations.
