MALACANA~ Manila BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO.689 THE UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC., A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD YEAR TO OF AUTHORIZING CONDUCT ONE (1) WHEREAS, Proclamation No. 441, dated August 10, 1994, extended the authority of the United Way Philip- pines, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign up to August 10, 1995; WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., needs addiional time to raise more funds for its laudableobjectives: . NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the United Way Ph1lip- pines, Inc., to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation. IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
