.- MALACANA~ BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 697 AUTHORIZING THE HEART FOUNDATION OF THE PHILIPPINES TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE (1) YEAR WHEREAS, the Heart Foundation of the Philippines was authorized under Proclamation No. 509, dated November 25, 1994, to conduct a national fund (;ampaign from November 25, 199~ to Nov:ember 25, 1995; WHEREAS, the Heart Foundation of the Philippines deserves the full support from all sectors to be able to continue with its humnitarian mission of helping the increasing number of the disadvantaged individuals suffering from heart disease and other related ailments; NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Heart Foundation of the Philippines to conduct a national fund campaign for a period of one (1) year effective upon the promulgation of this Proclamation. For this purpose, all donations, bequests and gifts received by the Heart Foundation of the Philippines for the implementation of its programs and activities shall be entitled to all the tax cxernption and deductibility benefits provided in the appropriate provisions of the National Internal Revenue Code, as. amended, and its implementing rules and regUlations.
