BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PIUILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 70

AUTHORIZING THE FOUNDATION FUR THE REMABILIYATION AND PREVENTION OF ‘BLINDNESS IN ‘MH PHILIPPIMES, INC., TO CONDUCT A NAIONAL FUND CAMPAIGN FOR A PERIOD OF ONE YEAR.

Fon WHEREAS, the Foundation for the kehabilitation and

Prevention of Blindness in the Philippines, Inc., is a non-profit organization established to serve as a national organization to provide a central system of management respénsible for giving directions, forging unity and effective coordination of present efforts aimed at reha-

bilitating the blind and the prevention of blindness; and

WHEREAS, to effectively carry out the noble objectives and successful implementation of its programs, such as Operation Handog Buhay, Operation Eyeball, Sight saving Club, Hiyas ng Silangan, br. Jose Rizal Nemorial Award, White Cane Club, kapwa ‘lao and others, the Foundation needs the financial and moral support of the public.

NOW, THEREFORE, 1, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of” the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the Foundation for the Rehabilitation and Prevention of Blindness in the Philippines, Inc., to conduct a national educational, membership and fund campaign for a period of one year from the promulgation of this proc- lamation.

IN WITNESS WILEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be ‘affixed.
