ANA, MUNICIPALITY OF TAYTAY, PROVINCE OF RIZAL; TRANSFERRING TO THE NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY THE OWNERSHIP OF SAID GOVERNMENT LAND; AND DECLARING THE SAME OPEN FOR DISPOSITION IN FAYOR OF PASIG RIVER SQUATTERS AND LESS PRIVILEGED. FAMILIES OF TAYTAY, RIZAL PURSUANT TO REPUBLIC ACT NO. 7279, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "URBAN DEVELOPMENT AND HOUSING ACT OF 1992", AND EXECU- TIVE ORDER NO. 292, OTHERWISE KNOWN AS "ADMINISTRATIVE CODE OF 1987" Upon recommendation of the Secretry of Environment andNatural Resources and by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, I, FIDEL V. Q RAMOS" President of the Philipp1nes, do hereby set aside for socialized. housing development pur- poses in favor of Pasig River squatters and less privileged families of Taytay, Province of Rizal, a PQrtion of the pub- lic domain located at Sitio Tapayan, Brgy. Sta. EIGHT The disposition of lots under this Prolamation to qualified beneficiaries shall be made in accordance with Section 12 of Republic Act No. 7279 and shal'l be subject to the limitations provided'~for in Section 14 thereof. The DEPARTMENT OF ENVIRONMENT AND 'NATURAL RESOURCES (DENR.> is hereby directed to immediately undertake theboundary, topographic, and subdivision surveys of the area in order to facilitate its early development for disposition Furthermore, the DENR shall issue a special patent covering the subject parcel of land in favor of the NATIONAL HOUSING AUTHORITY (NHA) for disposition purposes in accordance with law. For this purpose, the NHA, in collaboration with the PRESIDENTIAL COMMISSION ON URBANPOOR, shall conduct a census to determine all bona fide beneficiaries --i.e., Pasig River squatters and the '. ,!" ~ 3 underprivileged familes in Taytay, Rizal. In the actual relocation of target beneficiaries and the disposition of lots, the NHA is directed to prioritize the squatter families residing within the easement of the Pasig River and its tributaries.
