AUTHORIZING UNITED WAY PHILIPPINES, INC., TO CONDUCT A NATIONAL FUND. CAMPAIGN FOR THE PERIOD FROM JUNE l, 1986 TO MAY 31, 1987. 2 ,

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., is actively engaged for several years in the funding of community health and welfare services, as well as in the promotion of economic well-being of the people in the different parts of the country;

. WHEREAS, in the promotion of such economic well-being, units of Barangay Rural Improvement Corps (BRIC) have been

organized in almost all of the provinces, cities and muni-

cipalities of the Philippines to undertake the sarilin

sikap projects in accordance with the memorandum of agree-

ment entered into between United way Philippines, Inc., and the AFP-KKK Development Center;

WHEREAS, the United Way Philippines, Inc., unites into one (1) annual appeal the campaign for effective public assistance to the health and welfare needs of the more needy among our citizens; and .

WHEREAS, it is desired that the humanitarian objectives of the United Way Philippines, Inc., be fully attended.

NOW THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby authorize the United Way Philippines, Inc., to

conduct a national fund campaign for the period from June 1, 1986 to May 31, 1987. ,

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and

caused the seal of the Republic of the. Philippines to be affixed.
