MANn.A #0 , /lAFN 'R BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 716 DECLARING THE EXISTENCE OF A STATE OF CALAMITY IN THE PROVINCE OF AURORA WHICH WAS ADVERSELY AFFECTED BY FLASH FLOODS AND LANDSLIDES WHEREAS, the Province of Aurora, was adversely. affected by flashfloods and 1a11dslides caused by heavy rains trigered by an unusual wave of easterly winds from the Pacific Ocean; WHEREAS, theI'e is at1 urgent need for the declaration of a state of caiatnity in the at'ea in order that the province may make use of_its calamity ftind for relief and other emergency rehabilitation work needed thereat. NOW, THEREFORE, I, FIDEL V. RAMOS, President of the Philippin~, .,. by virtue of the powers vested in me by la,,', do hereby declare that a state of calamity exists in the Province of Aurora. All departments and other government. agencies concerned are hereby directed to implement and execute relif and rehabilitati6n work in accordance with existing operational plarls, rlirec,tives aI1d orders issued in connection with ca1amities.
