RELEASING FROM THE OPERATION OF PROCLAMATION NU. 391,

DTED MACH 13, 1939, THE 16h.) OF SEaRG.0 AND ALL THE [shels PERTAINING TH IT IN THE PROVINCE OF SURIG.0 DEL NORTE, TSLAND OF MINDENAC, PHILIPPINES.

; WHERES, petitions have been filed fer the re- dease of the Island of Siangao and 211 ths islets per- taining to it in the provinee of Surigso del Narte, [sland of Mindsziao, Fhilippines, from the mineral reservation cstublished under Proclanation fic. 391, dated March 135, 1939;

WHETHAS, the Buredu of Minos, after geolorical exploration, has found that the Island of Siargao,

dying Northeast of Surigno dul Norte and within its durisdictiou, is composed of volemnie rocks, sone Bedincnta, linestons and alluviun containing no aigni- ficant mineral deposits for purposes of the reservation; and

NOW, THERETORE, I, PERDIND E. MRC, President of the Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in He by law, and upon the recenmendation of the Secretary Of Agriculture wud Natural Resources, pursuant to the Provisions of Section 11 of Commonwealth ict No. 137, @S anended, do hereby release from the operation of Proclenition No. 491, dated Merch 13, 1939, and declare averted to the public domain the whole Istend of Biargac aud the islets pertaining to it in the province of Surigao del Norte, Island of Mindanac, Philippines.

This proclanation shall not take effect until it S concurred in by 4 resolution of the Congress of the hilippines duly adopted for the purpuse.
