BY THE PRESIDENT OF THE PHILIPPINES PROCLAMATION NO. 730

DECLARING THE PERIOD FROM JUNE 6 TO 12, 1991 AS "NATIONALISM WEEK"

WHEREAS, there is a continuing need to- strengthen patriotism and nationalism in the consciousness and activities of: every Filipino;

WHEREAS, the importance of Filipino nationalism can effectively be underscored by focusing national attention ' on patriotism and nationalism, particularly on June 12;

WHEREAS, to achieve this end, a concerted and unified effort from all sectors of society must be pursued so as to inspire in everyone a sense of pride in his heritage as a Filipino;

NOW, THEREFORE, I, CORAZON C. AQUINO, President of the ‘Philippines, by virtue of the powers vested in me by law, do hereby declare the period from June 6 to June 12, 1991 as "Nationalism Week". All sectors of society and government shall join hands in pursuing projects and activities geared , toward inspiring nationalism among our people.

IN WITNESS WHEREOF, I have hereunto set my hand and caused the seal of the Republic of the Philippines to be affixed.
