PROCLAMATION NO. 735

DECLARING MONDAY, 17 MARCH 2014, AS A SPECIAL (NON-WORKING) DAY IN THE CITY OF DAVAO

WHEREAS, Republic Act No. 7685 declares March 16 of every year as a special non-working holiday in the City of Davao to be known as “Araw ng Dabaw;”

WHEREAS, to enable the people of the City of Davao participate in the event this year, the Mayor requested that Monday, 17 March 2014 be declared a special non-working holiday;

WHEREAS, it is but fitting and proper that the people of the City of Davao be given full opportunity to celebrate and participate in the occasion with appropriate ceremonies.

NOW, THEREFORE, I, PAQUITO N. OCHOA JR., Executive Secretary, by authority of His Excellency, BENIGNO S. AQUINO III, do hereby declare Monday, 17 March 2014, as a special (non-working) day in the City of Davao.
